Successful information market about the Münster wind farm!

Trier/Selters (Taunus).
In one of our last communications we announced that we would take part in the information market of the municipality of Selters (Taunus) to present the Münster wind farm project to the citizens of the municipality. On September 21, the market could now take place in the Festhalle Eisenbach as planned.

A good 90 citizens took advantage of the offer of the fair-like event to find out about wind energy planning in the municipality as well as wind energy in general at seven information stands and to get answers to their questions from experts. In addition to personal discussions at the stands, presentations were given on approval procedures, the planning of wind farm projects, the landscape, and climate and nature conservation.

DunoAir would like to take this opportunity to thank the community of Selters (Taunus) and the Citizens' Forum Energiewende of the Hessian State Energy Agency (LEA) for the opportunity to participate and for the organization before and during the event.

Many thanks also go to the citizens who showed interest, asked questions and expressed their opinions. This enabled us to have exciting and controversial discussions with the participants. Fridays for Future and People for Future Weilburg as well as the citizens' initiative Windwahn-Selters-Taunus were both supporters of renewable energies and the opposing side, which gave a diverse picture of wind energy.

For DunoAir, the info market in its current form was a complete success. We are convinced that this type of public participation will clarify our concerns and initiate an objective exchange. We will continue to recommend an information market in the future as a means of public participation and as a contribution to greater local acceptance, as we were able to experience again how important such events are.
